It was the day of the big sale.

Rumours of the sale were the main reason for the long line that formed by 7:30, the store’s opening time, in from of the store.  A small man pushed his way to the front of the line, only to be pushed back, amid loud and colourful curses.  On the man’s second attempt, he was punched square in the jaw, and knocked around a bit, and then thrown to the end of the line again.

As he got up the second time, he said to the person at the end of the line… “That does it!  If they hit me one more time, I don’t open the store!”

Businessman

A young businessman had just started his own firm.  He rented a beautiful office and had it furnished with antiques.  Sitting there, he saw a man come into the outer office.

Wishing to appear the hot shot, the businessman picked up the phone and started to pretend he had a big deal working.  He threw  huge figures around and made giant commitments.

Finally he hung up and asked the visitor, “Can I help you?”

The man said, “Yeah, I’ve come to activate your phone lines.”
